WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — Police say a harmless snow globe in a carry-on bag
caused a brief evacuation of a terminal at Bradley International Airport in northern Connecticut.
Lt. J. Paul Vance said Sunday that a Transportation Security Administration worker spotted something that looked suspicious while screening bags and alerted state police shortly before 11 a.m.
Vance said Terminal A was evacuated as a precaution. It was reopened about 45 minutes later after authorities determined the snow globe did not contain explosives and was not a danger.
Because they contain liquid, snow globes are among the items the TSA does not permit.
